Company History
Heisman Hero's was unofficially formed in
1988.
Since that time we have accumulated one of the finest
Heisman Memorial
Trophy related collections in the world.
This collection includes signatures
from every Heisman Trophy winner from its inception in 1935 as well as
signatures from namesake
John W. Heisman and the
trophies creator Frank Eliscu, numerous game used items, Heisman programs and
tickets, press pins, photo's, magazines,
mini helmets, game ticket stubs, and
much, much more.
Over the years we have met and received
signatures from every living Heisman Trophy Winner as well as deceased winners including
Jay Berwanger (Chicago-1935), Larry Kelley (Yale-1936),
Angelo Bertelli (Notre
Dame-1943), Les Horvath (Ohio State-1944),
Glenn Davis (Army-1946), Doak Walker
(SMU-1948),
Leon Hart (Notre Dame1949), Vic Janowicz (Ohio State-1950),
Billy
Vessels (Oklahoma-1952), and Alan Ameche (Wisconsin-1954).
We attended the Heisman Ceremonies from 1991-1997 and again in 2004-2006. Many of our meetings with
former Heisman winners have led to personal relationships with many of them
including Larry Kelley and Les Horvath. We have been interested in starting our
own business for many years and are excited to have finally reached that goal in
2004. Taking our business to the web makes the process even more exciting.
